Most of the photos you see on my site were taken around my home in Warsaw.
I wrote this text on the 1st of November, 2024. Even though it was a public holiday in Poland, I had to work. The truth is that I did not do street photography for five days. On the day I wrote this text, I was working remotely, from home. When I looked out of the window in the middle of the day, one thing appeared in my mind after seeing the beautiful tree with brownish leaves still attached to its branches. I reminded myself that I had been picturing this tree many times throughout my life. Then, I realized that most of the photos you see on my website, my Dear Friend, were taken around my home in Warsaw.
I do not know how it is possible.
Still, it is the purest truth that each time I leave my house in Warsaw and go to places I have been before, I still find many frames to shoot. I believe that I will take the most spectacular photo of my life in my neighborhood. The probability is high because I started most of my photo walks by leaving my flat in Warsaw’s Mokotów district. I love Warsaw. Also, I love walking in my neighborhood. I do not know how it is possible that I am not bored walking on the same streets for the umpteenth time.
Street photography does not bore me. Also, I cannot imagine it will bore me in the future. Of course, I do not know what the future holds. Still, I can only imagine that the force majeure can only prevent me from walking (rucking) and photographing anything that would attract my eyes. I hope to walk and take pictures of mundane reality for the next fifty years (while writing this text, I was in 2022).
