Honesty

Why the fact that I’m not popular (e.g., on Instagram) makes me feel great about it? Why is it connected with honesty?

Because by not being famous, I can focus only on what I want to do and not meet the needs of others. Doing what I love, what I want to do, and not worry about what the crowd will say about it, makes me very honest in my artistic works. I believe that honesty is the key to success not only in art but throughout life. In short: relatively low popularity gives me full freedom in my artistic expression. This freedom is equal to honesty.

Do I want to be famous? Yes. I want to become the symbol of Warsaw. In the same way, Chopin is already a symbol of the capital of Poland.

However, there is one condition of my wish. Let my fame flourish but after my death. Becoming a celebrity will not help me take my photos and will only distract me. I am afraid that if I become a renowned photographer, artist, celebrity, my art would stop to be honest, in a relatively short time.

Artistic independence is crucial for me. I want to remain an independent artist until the end of my life. Focusing on grabbing “likes” on Instagram could lead to dishonesty to my audience. I want to be honest both with myself, and viewers of my art. I do not focus on grabbing likes on Instagram because it is not entertaining for me. By creating my art in honesty, I want to have good fun.

Moreover, I want to inspire others to produce also honest art.

Is that mean that everything that appears on Instagram is dishonest? Of course not. But, there are a lot of people who are adding pictures only to receive new likes. I am not one of them, and I sincerely advise you, my Dear Friend, to be honest about what you do and not to pay attention to your Instagram account feedback.
