It was the 21st of June, 2021, and the 5th day in a row when all Warsaw’s citizens could sing along with Billy Idol’s song, named “Hot in the city.”
I know that I repeat myself on many topics, and the theme of weather is no exception. When it is hot in the city, it is the worst weather condition to take street photographs. Why? Because while walking I must drink a lot of water. Thus, I pee more frequently.
Moreover, the tempo of my walking is dramatically decreasing. Thus, it takes more minutes to walk the same route as usual. Undoubtedly, I am also sweating more. That’s why walking during boiling days makes me feel less comfortable than usual. Is that mean that I do not like walking on hot summer days? Of course not. I love doing it. I wrote before that there is no bad weather to take street photos.
It is only the photographer who could be incorrectly prepared for such walking.
Without the childish joy of walking and taking pictures, I could not make a minimum of 11.000 steps daily outside within the last three days.
Of course, I prefer to walk when it is cloudy and less than 20 Celsius (68 degrees Fahrenheit). Moreover, I like also walking while it is chilling or even freezing cold. The truth is that I always try to program myself that no matter what the weather conditions are, I always try to notice only advantages. The only exception can be while there is a storm. While it is stormy, I prefer not to go outside. I am not a suicider who frolics with death. Stormy weather was being forecasted for the next few days (22.06-25.06.2021). There is a high possibility that I won’t take photos because of the danger of thunder. Ok, I finish writing. I will listen to the “Hot in the city” song and take a nap.
