I believe that the www.adammazek.com website will last many years after my death.
The truth is that as long as I live, I have a 100% of control of my blog. Still, no one can tell me what will happen to my website after my death. I have no doubt that I will continue to manage my blog until my final end. But, I sometimes try to imagine what will happen to it when I am gone forever. Will someone, perhaps some keen admirer or member of my family will take control of it? Yes, it is possible.
The open question is who will be and how this person will manage the www.adammazek.com blog. I can imagine that this site will become a virtual museum of my artistic activity. Is it possible that my website will disappear from the Internet after my end? Undoubtedly, it is possible. It can vanish forever as billions of other websites are already gone and disappear within the following decades.
The brutal truth is that I cannot answer the titled question because I do not know what the future holds.
Throughout the ages of human civilization, there were many old books, scripts that disappeared for posterity forever. One of the greatest and saddest examples we can find in Egyptian Alexandria. During ancient times there was a Great Library there. Scientists estimate that there was an equivalent of 100,000 books in it. Most of them are gone forever due to, among others, fires and plundering. I hope that my website will last until the final days of the Internet era. Moreover, I hope that someone will take from me this invisible symbolic torch and pass it to future generations. I believe that my photographs and texts are worth preserving. Perhaps, I will try to maintain also paper editions of all my works. Still, for today (I wrote this post on the 4th of August, 2021), I have no particular plans regarding making prints of my works.
