Forget about money, my Dear Friend. It is my main hint for artists and writers for today.
I did not win a contest on the LensCulture website. Moreover, I do not earn money on street photography or writing. Do I care about all these things? Of course not. I still do what I want to do, and I do not care if I am an appreciated artist. What I do is simply enjoy the process. I do not care about the outcome of all my creative activities. For me, it is not the most crucial case in a broadly defined creative process.
I do not know the aim of artistic activity on the same level; I do not know my life’s purpose. I live because I love to live. I create because I cannot imagine my life without it. I want to inspire as many people as possible. Still, even if I don’t inspire millions of other lost souls, I am glad I’ve already inspired a few of them. That’s why I’ve already fulfilled one of my creative desires.
Does that mean I will rest on my laurels? Contrary.
The more I do stuff you see on the www.adammazek.com website, the more I desire. Undoubtedly, the creative process will be my passion until my life’s end, or my health will let me do it. I love musing. I love rocking in the clouds. Then, I transformed all my imagination into written words by writing. I love this process, from the beginning (initial spark of inspiration) until the final end (publish crystalized text). A similar method that brings me simple joy is taking pictures on Warsaw’s streets, developing them in Lightroom, and posting them on my blog. I repeat today’s hint for artists and writers: forget about money and enjoy the creative process. There is no better thing you can do for yourself and whole societies.
