In today’s post (I wrote it on the 12th of July, 2025), I will write about how to fuel your street photography passion.
Of course, not everything that suits me would suit you, my Dear Friend. Still, I hope to offer you some incentives. The truth is that I am fueling my street photography passion not only by watching my own photos from the past. How often do I watch my photographs from the past? I do it almost daily, while scheduling subsequent posts for the www.adammazek.com blog. Undoubtedly, I would recommend that you, my Dear Friend, watch your own photos from the past. Perhaps they would spark in you a sense of inspiration towards one of the most magnificent activities people can imagine – street photography. Besides analyzing your own photos from the past, I would also recommend reading.
For example, on many weekends, I read the book “Bystander: A History of Street Photography” by Laurence King Publishing.
In the past, I was fueling my passion for street photography by reading books like “Photo Icons. 50 Landmark Photographs and Their Stories” by Taschen or “The World Atlas of Street Photography” by Thames and Hudson. Each time I read, watch, and contemplate various photography books, I realize how many frames are escaping when I lie on the couch with a book in my hand. Reading these books is like a journey of discovery, with each page revealing new worlds, perspectives, and inspiration.
After 10 or 15 minutes of reading, I already desire just to get out of my house, and photograph everything that captures my eyes. When I get out of my house, after reading and contemplating books about photography, the whole world seems so spectacular. I want to simply dive into the mundane reality and cherish each moment. That’s how I’ve been fueling my street photography journey since October 2015.
