I know that I already provided much information regarding improving one’s well-being. Still, I believe that last time I “discovered” a new way to improve my health and general happiness.Â
What were pieces of advice that I already provided here, on this website, regarding improving well-being? Generally speaking, these were:Â
- creating art (e.g., photography, writing);Â
- doing sports (e.g., swimming, walking);
- eating (e.g., getting rid of sugar).
Today’s advice will also be connected with diet. Since the 26th of December 2020, I decided to use intermittent fasting. Speaking shortly: I eat only between 19 pm and 24 am. What I eat? Almost everything except the sugar and processed food. Undoubtedly, I omit processed sweets. The truth is that I loved to eat these things, but I hope that I won’t eat processed sweets until the end of my life. I will stress the critical information from today’s post once again:
I eat almost everything (except sugar and processed sweets) only between 19 pm and 24 am, without any exceptions. Â
Is it safe? Is it healthy? Yes, it is. I will provide more details in the future. I know all these things from Dr. Jason Fung’s and Jimmy Moore’s book, named “The Complete Guide to Fasting,” not from the internet. Intermittent fasting became my lifestyle. I believe that I will use this diet until the end of my life. Why? Here are few advantages of using intermittent fasting:
1) it improves my well-being – I do not feel sleepy any longer;
2) my brain works better – I think more concentrated during the day than before I started intermittent fasting;
3) I have much more energy – I can use it not only for my accountancy work but also for photographing and writing;Â
4) I possess more power to do sports – I even came back to doing push-ups;
5) Coming back to doing push-ups is strictly connected with another advantage – thanks to the fact that my body does not use its energy on digestion, my other cells could be more sufficiently being “restored.” Thus, my shoulder that hurt me since December 2017 does not hurt me anymore.Â
6) I look better, younger, and refreshed.
That’s enough for today. Undoubtedly, I will return with this topic in the future.
