I think that a minority of people know how to live before death.
Of course, the titled question is provocative. Many people have a ready recipe for how to live before death. They would say: make a career, earn big money, travel, smile, and live comfortably. That’s not for me. Of course, I want to have as much money as possible and travel as many times as possible, but there are other aims for my existence. First of all, I want to live with my beloved Kamilka.
Moreover, I want to create. I want to build. The truth is that I hope to live as many years as possible as a prolific artist. I want to live here and now. Even if I have a lousy mood, I try to explain that it’s only a short period of my life, and we all need bad moods to appreciate the good ones.
By creating new things and making something out of nothing, I want to remind other humans that they can do the same.
Are the stupid Russian invaders in Ukraine worth imitating? Of course not. All they do are rape, kill, devastate, and destroy. I believe humans possess the natural capacity and talent to build, create, develop, and not destroy. That’s why others admire artists and creative people and despise the Russian orcs in Ukraine. I believe that’s how one should live before death. Creating is the key. I am living right here and right now.
I appreciate moments, even if they sometimes suck.
Living in rich comfort is not something I desire. That’s why I am practicing intermittent fasting and exposing my body to coldness. I’ve been writing one text daily for almost a year (I wrote this on the 9th of June, 2022). Even if I am tired after the office job and do not have the inspiration and energy to write, I do it. Why? Because I want to live before death by making something out of nothing.
