How to overcome the limits of time and space in communication?

February 28, 2024 by Adam Mazek

In today’s post (I wrote it on the 27th of December, 2022), I will explain how to overcome the limits of time and space in communication.

One must start writing to overcome the shackles of the here and now regarding communication. Simply. I hope writing on virtual paper, like this blog, will be more permanent and durable than writing on papyrus, parchment, or paper. I believe I will contribute to the fact that the third decade of the XXI century won’t be considered the Dark Ages.

Wait a minute… Americans sent the James Webb Space Telescope, and they plan to go to the Moon in 2025, and you want to state these times someone could ever name as the Dark Ages?

Undoubtedly, you could ask me, my Dear Friend. Yes. Why? For example, if a nuclear war appeared, we could destroy many (e.g., writing) proofs that we were not living in the Dark Ages. Still, I hope my blog will live through even the nuclear war or another world disaster. That’s how I plan to overcome the limits of time and space in communication. How did, e.g., Dostoyevski and Lem do it? Simply, by writing. It is a simple process. By writing, I plan to become part of the history connected with writing.

It is no coincidence that we can read texts written thousands of years ago in, e.g., ancient Greece.

There is no better option to be remembered by posterity than writing down one’s thoughts, insights, and ideas. I wonder what will be the role of the Internet in the history of writing. As I wrote, I hope it will be more durable than paper. Still, I do not know what the future holds. I would like to move in time for one week to see how the world will look, e.g., in 2500.
