Undoubtedly, street photography helps me see the world differently.
Street photography has been a transformative journey for me, altering the way I perceive the world. For instance, capturing the beauty in the decay of an old building or the intricate patterns on a discarded piece of fabric has taught me to appreciate the often overlooked aspects of our surroundings. Every time I go out to do street photography, I try to see the world differently than most of the other people. Only a few people take photos of garbage, old rags, or dirt. I do it. I want to see the world differently. The truth is that I aim to present reality via my inner artistic vision. My camera is a tool and filter to do it. I always try to spot such unusual things in mundane reality that other people do not see.
While writing these things, I realized that, perhaps, many people do not want to see beauty in grey reality.
I suppose many people are in a hurry in the capital of Poland nowadays. They do not have time to stop and visually analyze their surroundings. Usually, they have something more important to do. I do not argue with it. Let everyone live as they want to live. It would be a nightmare for all the people on Earth to suddenly become daydreaming artists or focus on numbers accountants. Luckily, we all do not have to be the person, e.g., a photographer or lawyer. We all can switch between many worlds. It does not matter whether it will be a world of art, finance, law, chemistry, or medicine. It is only up to us which way we choose.
Nevertheless, in today’s post, I want to stress we can possess as many “personalities” as we want.
For example, since 2009, I have worked in the world of finance. On the other hand, since October 2015, I’ve been regularly doing street photography. Since September 2017, I have managed the www.adammazek.com website and written texts. I am an accountant, artist, writer, and photographer. Undoubtedly, I am Adam Mazek, and I can do many positive and great things throughout my whole life.
