I am the winner because I will be doing street photography until the end of my life.
How do you know it? You cannot predict the future.Â
Undoubtedly, you could tell me, my Dear Friend. That’s why I want to emphasize that I will be doing street photography until my health allows me to do it. I just hope I will be able to walk until my final end. Even though it is only the beginning of my creative journey (I wrote this text on the 2nd of February, 2023, and I started regularly taking photos on Warsaw’s streets in October 2015), I know I am already a winner. Why is it only the beginning? It is because I have regularly done street photography for over seven years. I see my creative doings from a much broader perspective. If I can walk and take pictures on Warsaw’s streets until I am one hundred years old (today, I am 37), the first seven years of my artistic activity will be an early period for art historians and cyber-archeologists.
But what did you win? What do you want to tell us today? Did you win a photographic contest or what?
Again, you could ask me similar questions, my Dear Friend. I won because I found a way of expressing myself. By doing it, I know I have won my life. My existence for myself. Speaking shortly, I found myself. Undoubtedly, it is a victory not only for me but also for my loved ones and the societies of the XXI century and future ones. Doing street photography, writing, preparing “Diaries” and sets of pictures (e.g., “Negation of the End” or “Road To Nowhere”), and blogging are the activities I could do all day, every day. Thanks to doing them, step by step, I am becoming a better human. I will never be perfect. I will always have disadvantages. Still, this fact won’t prevent me from stating that I am the winner.Â
