Two days ago (I wrote the current text on the 7th of July, 2025), I bought the third Nikon D-90. Why did I do it?
I bought the third Nikon D-90, because the first one that I bought in 2012 stopped working on the 25th of June, 2025. It was raining heavily on that day, and my camera had not been working for many days since the 25th of June. To be more precise, my first Nikon D-90 does not work to this day. Luckily, I bought my second Nikon D-90 in October 2024. Up till now, it was waiting for its chance. The time has come, so I will be using my second Nikon D-90, hopefully, for the next 10-13 years.
But what if it breaks up within the next year?
After asking this question, I decided to buy the third camera. I think I could get used to this model, and I do not need to change it. Luckily, in the middle of the third decade of the XXI century, Nikon D-90 from the second hand is relatively cheap (I bought the third model on eBay for 300,- EUR). Still, while searching for this Nikon D-90, I noticed that there is a relatively small amount of this model. When I realized it, I knew I had to buy it, because it would probably be the last purchase of this model for me.
This camera is simply getting too old, and there are not many new models available on the market.
Thus, I knew I needed to hurry, to be able to take pictures on Warsaw’s streets with Nikon D-90 for as long as possible. I think this model has become an extension of my arm. I hope to be able to photograph with my two Nikons I bought within the last couple of months for the next 20-25 years.
