The time has come to admit loudly that I do not belong to Youth any more. I am thirty-six years old.Â
The fact is that I should have been saying it loudly six years ago. I sometimes feel that many people think that they are still young. Unfortunately, many of them are 30+ (like me), 40+, etc. Undoubtedly, they could feel young deep in their mind, heart, and soul (I also still feel young). Still, the fact is that people who are 30+ do not belong to the Youth anymore. The truth is that I also write here, on the www.adammazek.com website, that the most precious broadly defined art is the old art. If we want to read, listen, analyze, or watch something years after creation, this particular work must be a work of art. Is that mean that nowadays young people do not create anything special? Of course, not. I am convinced that today’s Youth create many spectacular paintings, writings, sculptures, songs, etc.
I will stop for seconds near the music. The fact is that Sunflower Bean’s song named “I was a fool” inspired me to write this text.Â
When I heard this song on the radio for the first time, I started to wonder how old this song could be. What was my amazement when I realized that this song was from 2018. Sunflower Bean band is, without a doubt, among other young people who create something spectacular not only for themselves but for the whole of humanity (including posterity). While listening to the song, I reaffirmed once again in my life, that the future belongs to the Youth. I am convinced that today’s young kids and teenagers will have a lot to say in terms of broadly defined art, science, etc., in the future. Speaking shortly: I keep my fingers crossed for the Youth and their broadly defined development.
