Everything you can see on the www.adammazek.com website, my Dear Friend, I do for Warsaw.
I do street photography and write texts for Warsaw, but I want the world to see and read all my works. That’s why I write in English. Without knowing and understanding the most popular language on Earth in the third decade of the XXI century (I wrote this text on the 4th of January, 2022), I know that the reaching of all my works would be limited only to Polish readers. On the other hand, for the latter group, I decided to prepare also the Polish language version of „Diaries” and sets of pictures like „Negation of the End,” „Inspired by Tolkien,” or „Big Brother, part I.”
I already wrote some posts about Warsaw in the past.
I wrote that, among others, the capital of Poland is very close to my heart because my Brother, Marcinek, died there in 1994.
If you do street photography for Warsaw, why do you not take beautiful, picturesque photographs of your city? Why are there no images from Warsaw’s Old City?
Undoubtedly, you could ask me, my Dear Friend. It is because beautiful images are dull for me. When I google, e.g., photos of Riga, I skip all colorful pictures of the Old City because 99% of such images are boring to me. Thanks to my photographs, I hope Warsaw will become an artistically and photographically famous city. I aim to present the city’s guts. Symbolically, the city’s guts can be exemplary garbage. I have no doubts that only unique, odd pictures can become worldwide famous.
I leave beautiful images of landmark buildings for other photographers, which are hunting for more and more likes and followers on social media platforms.
Everything I show on my blog I do for Warsaw. I hope that people living in other countries will recognize the capital of Poland as one of the most famous cities. This city was photographed by a weirdo and genius in one person.
