I do not know what the future holds.

May 22, 2023 by Adam Mazek

I often write, “I do not know what the future holds.” That’s why I decided to write a text about this issue to link it to the previous texts.

The phrase “I do not know what the future holds” is cliche. We do not know what the future holds. For most of us, it is obvious. I do not believe in clairvoyants’ and fortune tellers’ divinations. I wrote this text on the 8th of April, 2022. News on the Internet (I do not watch TV anymore) says there will be the most significant battle for Donbas and Crimea between 11-18 April. I do not have to mention that I decided to write this text not only to link it to the exact previous phrases but also that hope that Ukrainians will win the battle for Donbas and Crimea.

The truth is that I keep my fingers crossed for all Ukrainians to win the war against the fucking Putin’s army.

I suppose that most people did not believe that Ukrainians could defend themselves when the war broke up. I was not an exception. Speaking shortly: I did not think that Ukraine could push back the Russians’ attack. Today, I am full of hope. I hope that the Ukrainians will win the war. Do I believe in miracles? I must admit that, yes, I believe in miracles in this particular case. Undoubtedly, I will publish this post after April 2022. I hope I will be in a euphoric state connected with the Ukranians’ victory while publishing this text.

There is only one fair issue in this world. It is the fact that we all die. I could say that I know what the future holds in this case. Undoubtedly, we all die. Still, when we consider that the war in Ukraine is a battle between evil (aggressive Russian army) vs. good (Ukrainians who protect their land), I hope that some justice will win and that the Russian invaders will be pushed back from the whole Ukraine, including Donbas and Crimea.
