I don’t want to dig my grave with a fork, knife, and spoon.

March 6, 2023 by Adam Mazek

The longer I live, the more I see that most people living in the third decade of the twenty-first century in developed countries are digging themselves a grave with a fork, knife, and spoon.

I do not want to be like most of these people. I don’t want to dig my grave with a fork, knife, and spoon. That’s why I decided to do intermittent fasting. Eating too much and too frequently kills people. Obesity is merely the top of the iceberg regarding problems with health connected with overeating. I wrote this post on the 24th of December, 2021. It was a day when I could say that I had been doing intermittent fasting for one year. During this year, I had only one day when I ate the whole day. It was during the Easter.

Do I plan to do intermittent fasting during Christmas in 2021?

No. The truth is that Christmas time will be a time of feast for me. I will eat for the whole day between 24 -26 December 2021. Of course, after this period, I will return to intermittent fasting. As I wrote at the beginning of this post, I do not plan to dig my grave with a fork, knife, and spoon. I do not want food to kill me slowly. Doing intermittent fasting is the only rational, complied with human’s physical nature, way to minimalize the chance of getting serious illnesses.

Moreover, when I add to all these things the fact that I take cold showers and expose my body to coldness (by wearing the www.adammazek.com t-shirt in frigid temperatures), I hope that I will for a long time in a healthy state. Rather than digging my graves with a fork and knife, I prefer to build my virtual monument here on this blog. I hope that one day Taschen will help me to change the virtual monument into the paper one.
