Disregarding all my failures and misfortunes that have befallen me, I still love life. I love life for life’s sake.
I wrote this text on the 12th of March, 2023. It was a usual Sunday. I spent most of my time with my beloved Kamilka and our kitty, Azorek. I was doing street photography in the Mokotow district. I made more than 10,5k footsteps. One guy from the neighborhood out-talked to me while I was doing street photography, wearing summer clothes (including the www.adammazek.com t-shirt) in frigid temperatures (it was 5 degrees Celsius [41 degrees Fahrenheit] outside.). What did my neighbor tell me?
He said something like this:
A lot of respect for you, Sir. I saw you many times earlier in freezing temperatures, even at -15 degrees Celsius*. When I saw you, I thought it was impossible to walk like that. But you did it. Many respects, and have a good day!
I must admit I was surprised by his comment. I thanked him and said I exposed my body to cold for my health and well-being. Then, I thought I did not do it for strangers’ admiration. Still, it was very nice to hear such words. When I came home, I realized I love life. Even if I had many failures and misfortunes in the past or bad choices. I do not care at all. It happened what was supposed to happen. Failures and accidents were, are, and will be with each of us until the end of life. We should treat them, and I always try to treat them as lessons. I know it is cliche. Still, in banalities, we will find much wisdom.
* -15 degrees Celsius=5 degrees Fahrenheit. I had never walked in such a cold temperature, but I did not oppose it because I did not want to interrupt in talking of my neighbor.
