By writing as if no one will ever read my thoughts, I think that makes me honest in my lyrics.
I have read many times that bloggers should know their audience, readers. We should know who is reading our thoughts. Moreover, we, bloggers, should adjust our texts to readers. I frequently go the opposite. The truth is that I often write as if no one will ever read my thoughts. Quite frequently, my writings are pretty personal. For example, I wrote many times on the www.adammazek.com website about my brother Marcinek’s death (for more information, search for the post entitled “Farewell.”). It does not mean I do not want to know my readers and do not care about them. On the contrary, by writing as if no one would ever read my insights, I am honest and write what I want to read.
I know my texts can be more attractive to others by doing so.
How can I prove that I often go the opposite regarding writing? For example, I know that posts entitled, e.g., “Top 10 Best street photographers…” or “Top 5 worst cameras for street photography” are catchy. Still, I did not use such topics for today (I wrote this text on the 12th of February, 2022). Why? Because I do not feel I need it. Perhaps, it could improve my stats regarding clicking on my website, but I do not care about it. I do not write to gain worldwide fame.
Moreover, I do not aim to become an influencer. The truth is that I do not need to earn money for my passion. Thus, I do not have to publish clickable posts. Usually, I write my thoughts straight out of my mind. I do not analyze whether my texts will be clickable. In the long term, I will gain much more readers by writing ideas as if no one would read my texts straight out of my mind and heart. I aim to write something other, something more profound than catchy posts.
