Undoubtedly, the older I am, the more I see that if you are not first, you are not last.
We’re all humans. We aim to win as many competitions as possible. It is normal. But what if we do not win? Does it mean we lost? I do not think so. I believe in the process. Even if our lives have many losses, we can always stand up and try to win in another fight. What is my personal most brutal fight? It is the fight against myself for myself. I am struggling with this fight each day, when I wake up, go to my office job, go rucking, and do street photography on Warsaw’s streets, take a cold shower, or intermittent fasting. Life is a struggle, an eternal fight between good and evil that is inside all of us. It is up to us to decide whether we will win this fight or not. Does it mean I am winning all the battles? Of course, not.
Sometimes I am too tired to ruck or write another text, sometimes I do not take a freezing shower, and sometimes I start eating before 7 p.m. It is like in life.
It is impossible to win all the battles. Also, it is impossible to be a winner all the time. Does it mean that if we don’t win, we are last? Of course, not. We are evolving. We are learning from our experiences. We should treat each fall as a possibility to learn something new. We should see adversities and difficulties as challenges, not threats. Undoubtedly, this post became a motivational post. Still, I sometimes have some losses, e.g., in a professional field. Still, even if something does not go according to my plan, there is no way to be mad or sad, because we do not all know what the future holds for us. But what I do know is that every setback is a stepping stone to growth. It’s the continuous growth that keeps us moving forward, that keeps us optimistic and hopeful.
