I believe that it is better to do something inaccurate than to have done nothing.
I wrote this post on the 5th of December, 2021. It was a day when I saw freshly published one of my sets of pictures, entitled “Inspired by Tolkien.” Am I content with my work? Yes and no. I am content because it is good, and I am happy to finish it. But why am I not satisfied with 100%? Because I see that some things, including text and pictures, could be done better. After thinking about all these things, I realize I could say the same things about my other sets of images and “Diaries” editions. I have no doubts that it is better to do something inaccurate than to have done nothing. If I thought the contrary, I would never establish the www.adammazek.com website.
Moreover, I would never write any text because I know it would be imperfect.
I have already registered some writings about imperfection, and I know that perfect things are merely dull. That’s why while doing all my creative things, I do not strive for perfectionism. The truth is that with every next photo taken, written text, and prepared “Diaries,” I develop. Speaking shortly, with every new thing published, I take a step forward towards becoming immortal in posterity’s memories. Is it crucial that all these things are imperfect? For me, it is instead a curiosity, not a fundamental issue. I do not live to be perfect because I am only a human. The crucial thing is that the creative process brings much joy to my heart, mind, and soul, and I am already inspiring other people.
I hope to provide many incentives for future generations, even if all my works are imperfect. I want to encourage you, my Dear Friend, to not seek perfection. Better focus on your creative process and have fun doing all your artistic stuff.
