That’s why I collect and read books. I treat them as a neverending source of knowledge and inspiration.
I want to deep dive into the world’s infinite variety and complexity. The more I read, the more I desire to read. The same issue is with street photography. External visuals stimulate my mind and imagination. The truth is that I am always curious about what’s behind each corner of the street. When traveling, I am always curious about the final destination. Nevertheless, sometimes, I wonder whether I am more attached to the landscape I see in front of my eyes when traveling. Occasionally, I am sad about all these things. Why? It is because it is impossible to read all the books in the world and see each corner of this exciting world. Still, reading and doing street photography motivates and stimulates me for me.
Undoubtedly, all these things will be a neverending story for me.
I do not know how, but I must accept that I will never feel that I’ve learned enough from books and met all possible places in Poland or Central-Eastern Europe to photograph. Learning is an infinite process. Which books do I love to learn new things from? These are not only books about the broadly defined Finance world. Surprisingly (but not for me), we can learn many great things from artists and writers.
Throughout my life, I have read many books by Fyodor Dostoyevsky and Stanislaw Lem. Today (I wrote this text on the 5th of October, 2023), I am reading Marcel Proust’s “In A Search Of Lost Time” masterpiece.
Besides these books, I read many of Taschen, Phaidon, and Thames & Hudson’s publishing houses’ masterpieces, not only about art but also about the universe, ocean, maps, history, science, and culture. I see myself as a curious person who wants more and more knowledge and who digests all the acquired information to share it here, on the www.adammazek.com website, with you, my Dear Friend. I invite you to join me in this journey of discovery and learning. Enjoy surfing my blog! It will provide you with infinite variety and complexity.
