This text is inspired by both Proust and Dostoyevsky.
It is obvious that the years of my childhood and youth are beyond me. Does that mean I feel old? On the contrary, I will turn 39 in March 2024 (I wrote this text on the 14th of January 2024), and I feel like my life is starting anew daily. Does this mean that I experience a “Groundhog Day” every day? No. Street photography has allowed me to notice, see, and feel the fact that most days, although seemingly similar, are totally different. I wrote many times that I love to read wise books. Undoubtedly, novels written by Proust and Dostoyevsky are worth reading.
The truth is that not only the works of the authors mentioned above but also the ones written by Seneca, Marcus Aurelius, and Stanislaw Lem helped me to spot the perspective that my life in this world is, indeed, nothing new and nothing outstanding, but there millions of other people before me, with the same many existential questions, doubts and observations. If you have not read, my Dear Friend, any of the masterpieces written by the geniuses mentioned above, drop everything and start reading something.
Believe me, it’s worth doing it.
The more I read, the more I strive for more. Going further, the more I read, the more I desire to write. I want to contribute to the eternal dialogue between generations. Undoubtedly, the possibility to read and write makes us human. I have written regularly for almost seven years (I started doing it in English in May 2017). Still, I feel it is only the beginning of my adventure with writing. I still haven’t written anything profound and meaningful. Undoubtedly, I still have many texts to write to try to reach the level of all the geniuses mentioned above.
