Every time I read the German publishing house books, I feel that I am inspired by Taschen.
Reading Taschen’s book is a strange experience. Every time I read their books, I feel charmed. On the other hand, while reading my favorite publishing house’s editions, I often decide to stop reading. Why? Because I want to write something by myself or go out and take new pictures. That’s why I often feel inspired by Taschen. The truth is that I love reading not only Taschen’s books but also works made by other publishing houses, including Phaidon or Thames and Hudson. Still, in my collection, Taschen’s books are in the majority.
One of my dreams is to see my photographs and texts printed by Taschen.
I assume that the German publishing house will publish my works one hundred years after my death. Moreover, I predict that my “Diaries” will be a key for Taschen’s employees to present my photographs and texts. I don’t have to mention that Taschen inspired me to create “Diaries.” Also, Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s self-publishing activities provided me incentives to start self-publishing doings right here, right now, on the www.adammazek.com website, without waiting for anything. Creating new things is something that I desire a lot. I believe that most people feel the same. Still, this desire is visible in some souls, but in other spirits, it is hidden. My creative art aims to make as many humans as possible aware that they can also start creating tremendous things. Even if they won’t earn a broken penny for their activity, it is always worth doing. We do not know the future.
Moreover, we never know what will happen with our works within upcoming years.
Perhaps they will become destroyed in the same way as Stanislaw Szukalski’s artworks during World War II. Or, maybe they will be discovered by influential and wealthy people and bring fortune to many sides? What I know is that I feel inspired by Taschen, thanks to their publishing activity.
