I do not believe it is possible to force creativity.
The older I am, the more I feel one cannot force creativity anyhow. When I want to be creative, I forget about it and do not even try to think of it. I remember writing the “Let’s do the washing up” text years ago. As far as I remember, I mentioned sometimes good ideas appear in my mind while doing the washing up. Today (I wrote this text on the 1st of December, 2023), I want to stress I was correct. Indeed, throughout my lifetime, the most fantastic ideas came to me while doing sports, e.g., swimming or walking. My mind wanders freely while doing all these activities, including washing up. It is nowhere and everywhere.
Then, suddenly, eureka, a great solution to a problem or an idea to write or do something appears in my mind.
So, what can we do to spark creativity in our minds, hearts, and souls? I believe the best thing we can do is to do nothing. I noticed that sometimes, the more I want to invent something, the worse results I get. On the other hand, when I do something utterly different than my creative doings, the flow of ideas appears in my mind. I wrote many times on the www.adammazek.com website that great ideas appeared in my imagination while walking. It is true. While walking, I often try not to think about anything. I switch off my mind. It is a moment when I feel alive here and now.
I do not analyze the past and worry about the future.
I am grateful I simply live. My mind is wandering in the most remote nooks of this world. It is out of me. Then, totally out of nowhere, a spark of genius appeared in my head, and I had new thoughts for my blog. It does not come forcefully. It comes somewhat uncouncsiouly.
