I heard the Jethro Tull name throughout my life. Still, I never tried to get familiar with the famous British progressive rock band’s songs.
During the ’90s, my parents had Jethro Tull’s vinyl entitled “Stand Up.” I remember this album, not because of the music but because the cover of it was pretty characteristic. These are my first memories of Jethro Tull. The topic for another writing is the cover and its history of another British band’s album, entitled “Aqualung.” Still, today I wanted to focus on another Jethro Tull album, “Thick As A Brick.” Youtube’s algorithms recommended me this album to listen to it. I clicked on it without any expectations. It was a moment when I (not the first time in my life!) reminded myself how life is beautiful.
The charming, melodic two songs performed on the “Thick As A Brick” album are, perhaps, one of the most astonishing musical masterpieces ever made.
I am grateful for Artificial Intelligence to recommend such a pearl over billions of other songs. Now I know I must merely get acquainted with other Jethro Tull albums besides “Aqualung,” which I listened to a few weeks before listening to the “Thick As A Brick.” Still, the truth is that the most significant impression for me made the “Thick As A Brick.” If you are still in doubt, my Dear Friend, whether to listen to Jethro Tull or not, I recommend starting from the “Thick As A Brick.” I have no doubts that you will not regret this choice. As usual, when I write similar things about songs discovered on the YouTube platform, thanks to AI, I wonder how many great songs I will find in my life.
Perhaps, I will write about the Genesis brand, with Peter Gabriel as their frontman.
YouTube also recommended one of their most excellent albums, “Selling England By The Pound,” last time. I loved the “Dancing with the Moonlit Knight” song. Still, for today (I wrote this text on the 6th of January, 2022), I focus on the “Thick As A Brick” album.
