I have already written in one of my previous posts that I often see my pictures as puzzles. I reminded myself that playing with my photographs is like playing in a jigsaw.
What did remind me about this fact? The answer is short: it is Instagram. The point is that when I publish pictures on a popular social media website, I try to do it in three-pictures-sets. Earlier, during my time spent in photographic school, I put all my paper photographs on the table. Then, I started to play with them like a jigsaw puzzle. I began to collect them in triple sets. It was pure fun for me.
The fact is that I love to watch and play with all my images. Preparing a jigsaw puzzle from them still brings me a childish joy.
At this moment, I would like to thank both my teachers, Bartek Mokrzycki and Tomek Grzyb, thanks to whom I acquired the practice of setting pictures in collections. The fact is that while attending photography school, I had issues with the overproduction of images. I often brought too many photographs. I was drafting and collecting them before the lessons, but that was not enough.
Bartek and Tomek were often asking me to make a selection of them once again and then set them with the way I wanted.
Now I see that it was an artistic exercise for me. While doing that, I had never thought that it would help me. So how did it help me? I learned efficiently and fast sorting, filtering, and preparing pictures to show on Instagram. During my lessons, I just gained new things, thanks to the teachers mentioned above.
Now, I hope that you understand, my Dear Friend, why my pictures are a jigsaw puzzle for me. Placing them together in various ways brings me new happiness regarding my artistic activity.
