Your worst enemy has its nationality, gender, the color of the skin, and beliefs. Moreover, he lives in a strictly defined place. He performs usual tasks during his daily routines and speaks a particular language.
Moreover, you can even get to know the most profound thoughts of your worst antagonist. You do not have to travel around the world to find your most dangerous opponent. Your worst enemy lives in your head, mind, and imagination. It is only up to you what methods you choose to conquer your antagonist who lives inside your soul. What is worse, it is just up to you if you manage to win with your worst opponent during your daily activities.
Our worst nightmares are not placed somewhere in outer space, deep in the ocean or the jungle. They are not hiding in the most remote nooks of our galactic. Moreover, they do not live in our neighborhood. Do not seek them on the streets of your city. They are not members of our families, friends, and loved ones. Confrontations with other people are the things which you should erase from your life. I always try to avoid them, because for me it is indeed a waste of time.
I try to follow the advice of such masters like Seneca or Bruce Lee.
The first one tells us that if someone hurts us, we should turn the other cheek. Indeed, the Christian religion derived a lot of wisdom from this philosopher who lived in ancient times. Seneca wrote that we should be grateful for all the misfortune which happened in our lives. One of Bruce Lee’s best-known wisdom, on the other hand, tells us that all the dangers which appear in our life, we should not treat as an obstacle, but as opportunities. We should be so flexible in our mind and soul that we should not handle punches that we receive as an attack. We should adjust ourselves to attack in the same way as water adopts punches. Speaking shortly: we should be like water. In my opinion, one of the highest levels of humanity’s spiritual development is to possess feeling not to feel being attacked by anyone.
That is why we should not focus on confrontations with other people. Our worst nightmares exist in our minds. Our demons are placed somehow in the dark side of our soul. We should train and empower ourselves every day. Both physically and mentally. For me, photography and art is the weapon to fight with my inner demons. We ought to be ready and have enough power and strength to overcome our worst enemy – ourselves. It is the most significant challenge we all have in our life.
