I wrote this text on the 17th of April, 2022. It was one day after breaking my record regarding walking and doing street photography for subsequent 10 days in a row. Moreover, it was a day when I reminded myself that lazy days are necessary for one’s well-being.
I decided to stop, rest and enjoy one of the few lazy days during the year. What does a lazy day exactly mean to me? It means I spend the whole day in our house, without going outside. I love lazy days only when they appear after a long series of coming out of the home. The truth is that I practically always go out of the house. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I worked in the office without the remote home office. Even if I have a day off from the office, I always aim to go for a walk and do street photography. The truth is that I cannot imagine living without street photography.
I hope to be able to stroll Warsaw’s streets and take pictures until the end of my life.
Still, I wrote many times that relaxing and resting are as vital as hard work. That’s why there is nothing wrong with taking lazy days. During such days, one does not have to do anything except lie down on a couch, hug a beloved one, and read favorite books. Indeed, it was what I was doing on the 17th of April, 2022. I have no doubt that on the 18th of April, 2022, I will go out of the house and do street photography. Why? Because, for me, one lazy day for, let’s say, three months is enough. In today’s post, I want to remind you, my Dear Friend, to chill, relax, and rest. Undoubtedly, having a good sleep, even taking a nap during the day, is crucial to us. Work hard, but remember to take a rest after your work. Lazy days are necessary for one’s well-being.
