Because I wouldn’t say I like crowds, I prefer to watch live performances on Youtube.
By live performance, I do not mean the live stream of the video shown on Youtube. I do not watch such streams. For me, there are too many news and live streams on the internet, and watching them is not the aim of my life. Nevertheless, today I want to write about my favorite live performances, accessible on YouTube and which took place in the past. Even in quite distant history.
So to which live performances I like to come back? These are, for example:
1) Sugarcubes “Cat” – I love to enjoy the fresh, childish energy Bjork presented in this performance. According to the description on YouTube, the concert took place in 1988.
2) Rage Against the Machine “Killing in the name of” – the youthful energy of charismatic singer Zack de la Rocha, presented in this video, is a real, natural energizer. Thanks to this energy, I am inspired to start doing artistic activities. This performance took place in 1993.
3) Madonna “Into the Groove” – This show took place in 1985 as “The Virgin Tour.” Here, I love Madonna’s energetic and polished performance shown in Detroit.
4) Queen “I’m in love with my car” – more information about this show you will find here.
5) Manu Chao “Bobby Marley” – this show took place in 2001. “Radio Bemba Sound System” is a live album. It was released with the accompanying CD. In this CD, we can find the performer’s live DVD “Babylonia en Guagua,” filmed over two nights. Like the Rage Against the Machine live show, I love the positive energy coming from this show.
For today, all mentioned-above shows are the ones to which I love to come back. And you, my Dear Friend, what are your favorite live performances? Undoubtedly, there are a lot more live performances worth seeing.
Have a good day!
