I do not believe that magic exists in this Universe. Still, it somewhat exists in humans’ minds.
For me, everything that human civilizations accomplished to this day (I wrote this text on the 1st of January 2022) is proof that magic is in mind. The first things that come to my mind regarding wizardry placed in people’s imagination are space telescopes (The Hubble Space Telescope and James Webb Space Telescope). Those scientists who created these space telescopes undoubtedly possessed a mind full of knowledge, imagination, and magic. Moreover, I have no doubts that creative people, who make something out of nothing, contain much sorcery in their mentalities and intellects.
The first human who comes to my mind is Fyodor Dostoyevski.
I’d read his almost all novels translated into the Polish language. The Polish science-fiction writer, Stanislaw Lem, was a genius who must have had tons of magical spells under his skull. Practically everything they wrote somehow was out of this mundane world. Another proof that magic is in mind is the works of most visual artists.
Starting from painters and ending with sculptors and other conceptual artists. All these people, for me, prove that humans possess magical superpowers. When I remind works of art made by Leonardo da Vinci, Michaelangelo, Hiroshige, Gustav Klimt, Salvador Dali, or Zdzislaw Beksinski, I see that magic flows through the veins of most people. Indeed, it is only up to us whether we generate magical superpowers that sleep in our psyche. What about musicians? Do they possess magical powers? The answer is obvious. David Bowie’s or the Rolling Stones’; artistic legacies prove that music includes a healing, magical superpower. Of course, all artists mentioned above are only the tip of the iceberg. There are many, many more examples. I hope other people will someday state my works also possess magical properties.
