Perhaps in a few decades, I will write my memoirs, a collection of personal stories and reflections that hold significant meaning to me.
The starting point would be the photos I have on my computer. I received my first digital camera from my parents on my 18th birthday in 2003. However, I also have some pictures from earlier periods of my life in family albums. I am convinced that I have and will have a lot to say, communicate, and write. The most important question will be whether my memories, thoughts, and reminiscences will flow from my mind onto virtual paper in the way I would like: simply and effectively. This is a problem not only for ordinary writers, but also for great writers: the awareness that it is impossible to translate all one’s thoughts, feelings, and emotions into spoken or written words.
Writing about all this, I wonder if one of the chapters of my memoirs will be about the Russian-Polish war (I am writing this in reference to the drone attack that my homeland experienced from Russian trolls in recent days, that is on the 10th of September, 2025 [I wrote this post on the 13th of September, 2025]). ).
Officially, Poland is not yet at war with Russian trolls. Unofficially, in practice, it is. I am now wondering aloud whether, if war were officially declared and I were to lose my job in accounting as a result (I assume I would not try to flee the war and would try to continue working in my current position for as long as possible), would I go to the Warsaw City Hall and ask if they needed a photographer to document the life of the Polish capital in the third decade of the 21st century during the war with Russia. Or maybe I would just enlist in the army? I hope to describe all this in my memoirs, but I also hope that the chapter of the Russian-Polish war will not become a reality.
I hope that the Russian trolls will break too many teeth in Ukraine to be able to attack my homeland.
Nevertheless, Poland must be ready for war. Also, while writing these things, I realized that I could treat the www.adammazek.com website as a kind of diary where I put my reminiscences. Nevertheless, I started doing it on the 1st of September, 2017, and I am convinced I have many interesting things to say about all the previous years.
