The older I get, the more I feel I should get rid of the message of fear streaming from mainstream media.
Undoubtedly, I prefer reading books to reading the news on the Internet. Still, because I am online frequently (among other things, because of my office job or managing the www.adammazek.com blog), I feel I am bombarded with the message of fear going out from mass media. I know there are groups of interests, with politicians at the forefront, who want to manipulate societies by using fear and by informing us that we live under a constant threat. Of course, I know the world can be perilous.
Among other things, the war in Ukraine proved it to me.
Still, when I look out of my window, I see trees, cars, pedestrians, and blocks of flats. I do not see a danger. I know that one day, I can lie down and never wake up. Still, there is no sense in worrying about it and other possible messages of fear. The truth is that no matter what we do in our lives, sooner or later, we all face the ultimate end – death. It’s a natural part of life; there’s no need to fear it.
That’s why when I am stressed in my professional job or when I read the news that the third world war will appear (perhaps it will, but still, it is simple stupidity to worry about things that do not exist), I always try to remind myself that I will die sooner or later and thinking and stressing about all things can only speed up the process of meeting the death. In today’s message, I want to inform you, my Dear Friend, not to be afraid of anything, and if you are stressed at work, go out, take a walk, and take some pictures of your beautiful surroundings.
