Last time I discovered another advantage of minimalistic photographs.
I wrote this post on the 16th of May 2020. The idea to write it appeared while preparing the first part of the “Diaries” of July. When I was doing it, I realized that if I add a minimalistic photograph to “Diaries,” there is a chance that it will be possible to add the text straight to the picture. This fact provides me a lot of opportunities to design subsequent editions of “Diaries.” Undoubtedly, it is another advantage of taking minimalistic photographs.
I wrote it once, and I will write it the second time: minimalism in photography is appreciated.
If you do not have an idea hot to take photos, start shooting minimalistic compositions. There is a general rule that minimalistic, pure photographs are more artistic and better to watch for the viewer. This hint is not necessarily applicable to paintings. Still, in photography, the minimalistic rule is accepted. Of course, we know that every rule can be broken. Nevertheless, we should break such creative rules consciously.
Back to another advantage of minimalistic photography, I want to stress that minimalistic photographs can help me to diversify pages of “Diaries.” I realized it last time, and I think that I will try to remember to add more minimalistic photographs on my website.
The last digression regarding minimalistic photos is that I regret that during the winter of 2019 and 2020, there was not any snow at all in Poland.
Pure, white snow helps the photographer to prepare minimalistic composition within the frame of the camera. Unfortunately, I will not have any snow photos from the winter of 2019 and 2020. Thus, the probability of possessing minimalistic shoots from this period simply decreases. Is that mean that we cannot take minimalistic photos without snow? Of course not. We should always try to make minimalistic shots, no matter of any circumstances.
