One of the main reasons is because I live here. Mokotow is, undoubtedly, my personal, inner center of the universe, next to Brok. I wrote this inspiration on the 18th of April, 2021. I wrote it while walking on a beautiful, sunny day at the intersection of Grazyna and Rozana streets. The truth is that I had to stop for a while and write all these thoughts that I love this place! Is that mean that I do not like other Warsaw districts? Of course not. Indeed, I live in the Mokotow, but nearby two others districts: Ochota and Okecie. Thus, I love walking not only in my “own” neighborhoods but also in two others.

While strolling through all these areas, I feel like I would wandering in my own backyard in Brok. I live in the capital of Poland since 2004. Undoubtedly, Warsaw’s is my favorite, next to Brok, place to live. Luckily, I could take sightseeing and walk along almost all areas of other districts like Ursynow, Srodmiescie, Wola, or Bemowo. The only site where I did not take photos is Wawer.

But what’s my favorite area regarding Mokotow?

Undoubtedly, it is my home in the Wygledow residential area, in which I live with my beloved Kamilka. I love to wander through the Woronicza, Etiudy Rewolucyjnej, Woloska, Al. Niepodleglosci, or Pulawska streets. My other favorite areas for me are also: Wierzbno, Sluzewiec, Ksawerow, Stary Mokotow, Sluzew, Stegny, and Sielce. Does it mean that I do not like the rest, that is Sadyba or Czerniakow? No, it means that I rarely visit those subdivisions because they are too far for me to walk.

Moreover, I like to walk along railways that connect stations like Okecie, Sluzewiec, “Zwirki i Wigury” and Rakowiec. The first station that I mentioned belongs to the Wlochy district and the last one to the Ochota area. Do I like parks in my neighborhood? Yes, I do. My favorite is those placed near where I live: Krolikarnia, Morskie Oko, Pole Mokotowskie, and Soviet Military Cemetery. I often visit these parks during my photo walks, both alone and with Kamilka. Are there any disadvantages of living in Mokotow? It is probably problems with the parking of a car. Still, as far as I know, it is a common issue in major world metropolises.
