I love photographically penetrating the mundane outskirts of Central-Eastern European cities.
The core of my photographic activity is, undoubtedly, Warsaw. In the capital city of Poland, I live in the Mokotow district. Looking at Warsaw’s map, my Dear Friend, you will notice this district is relatively near the city center (the Srodmiescie district). Still, in today’s post, I want to stress that I tremendously enjoy doing street photography on the mundane outskirts of cities. I do not have to be where “Somethings’ going on.” I prefer places where people walk with their dogs and see seemingly dull views. Undoubtedly, I will develop this issue in the future.
Today, I want to add that while being in Budapest and Riga, I also photographically penetrated the mundane outskirts.
In Budapest, it was the “Ujpest” district, and in the Latvian capital, it was “Dyjament.” Which Warsaw outskirts districts did I explore quite accurately? These are Ursynow and Bemowo. Today (I wrote this text on the 20th of August, 2022), I plan to explore, more precisely, the Bielany district. Indeed, while strolling and doing street photography there yesterday, I decided to write this text. I merely love to observe everyday mundane life. People come with their dogs, do daily shopping, and sit on the bench in the shadow (especially when it is hot outside).
I hope my health will let me do street photography until the very end of my life.
I would say that I love to observe and contemplate street poetry. For me, street photography is the essence of it. I think that I somehow became a street oddity by walking and taking photos on Warsaw’s roads. When we add to all these issues that I can walk in the www.adammazek.com t-shirt in frigid temperatures, I think I can cause a little stir while doing street photography in Warsaw’s streets.
