The older I am, the more I feel that my life is immersed in photography and writing.
I wrote this text on the 4th of April, 2024. It was a day when I was doing street photography straight after my office work. After returning home, I hugged my beloved Kamilka, stroked our kitty Azorek, and started to write this text. Then, I asked myself how many similar, fantastic days I had earlier in my life. The truth is that I’ve been doing street photography since October 2015. Also, I’ve been regularly writing since May 2017. I can’t state how many similar tremendous days I had in my life.
What I know is that the more I immerse myself in the world of broadly defined art, the more I desire to do it.
I do not need luxuries, millions in my bank account, and fancy cars to be happy. Undoubtedly, happy people need nothing because they are happy. I need only daylight, a healthy body to walk, and a good old camera (since 2012, I have used Nikon D90, and I hope it will serve me until the end of my life). In what else could I immerse myself? I think only in reading books. The world of art is something I would like to step in and live in. Still, while writing all these things, I realized I’d already done it. Oops, I forgot I could also immerse myself in the world of music.
I am writing this text while listening to (for the first time in my life!) Bob Dylan’s “Jokerman” song. How happy I am that YouTube’s algorithms still recommend many artistic pearls that only inspire me to create more and more works. If you haven’t heard the “Jokerman” song, my Dear Friend. I recommend you stop doing everything you do and just listen to it. Immerse yourself in the art world. That’s my recommendation for now. Undoubtedly, my life is immersed in a broadly defined creative world.
