If someone asked me what my writing process is, whether, for example, the title of the text appears first and then the content, or whether it is the other way around, I would answer that there is no rule here.
There are days when the text for a post comes to mind by itself. A stream of words on a given topic pours into my head. Then, within 20 minutes, a text is ready. Usually, I will choose a title for this fresh writing in the future. However, my writing process may be the opposite. There are days when a slogan appears in my head, a thought, a sparkle of insights. It can be one word or one statement. Still, I do not always broaden my thoughts immediately. This slogan often becomes a title. The content is created after a short or long moment’s reflection on the topic. Regarding my writing process, there can be another option, indeed.
For example, I take inspiration for writing from another source.
These can be, for example, books (I recommend “Taschen,” “Phaidon,” and “Thames & Hudson” publishing companies), songs, or movies. Widely defined culture and art, undoubtedly, can provide a lot of incentives. I can develop some thoughts of other artists, transform or argue with them. As you can see, my Dear Friend, my writing process can be varied. This text, for example, I wrote 24 hours after the first insights came to my mind. Once they appeared in my head, I noted them on iPhone as an “inspiration.” Then, I wrote the text on the 27th of April, 2021. I predict that I will publish it in April/May 2022. Why does it take so long for me to publish texts? Why do I not do it immediately?
Regularity is the most crucial thing for me regarding managing a blog.
Thus, I prepare texts in advance. I regularly publish 3-4 posts per week since September 2017, but I usually write more than 4 per week. This is my working process. I think that when I die, some posts will be still appearing on my website. This is, in general, how my writing process looks like.
