Negative thoughts are one of the best examples of how a lot of people are not able to handle their daily problems. I am not an exception. Negative thoughts also sometimes appear in my mind.
For example, during my daily routine. I am aware that we, the people, are not able to erase them from our minds. Negative thoughts were, are, and will remain stick to human species as long as we live on this planet. If we cannot delete such kind of thinking, how could we handle them?
For me, the clue lies in the sentence “worst-case scenario.” When some negative thoughts came and stuck in my mind, I always try to visualize the worst-case scenario. And do you know what is most intriguing? For me, practically all worst-case situations can end with death. For example, if I lose my job, what worst-case scenario could be? Firstly, I will lose my current, satisfying position. Thus, I will not get enough money to live. Nowadays, the lack of money can lead to deprivation of wealth. Next, I can become homeless. In the end, I can die drunk somewhere on the streets of Warsaw.
Now you know what I mean? We can follow a similar step-by-step method practically every kind of our situation which appears in our lives.
If all worst-case scenarios can end with death, why should we worry about everything during our whole life? I do not have time for it. Instead, I prefer to focus on my loved ones and my passion (photography and running this blog). I do not analyze all the time situations and circumstances which appear in my life. It is my way of handling negative thoughts. I know that all “worst-case scenarios” lead to death, and that is why I do not overthink about negative thoughts.
To summarize, paradoxically, thinking, and remembering about death can bring us in our daily activities, a lot of good energy and fun. In the end, we all going to die, so what the purpose of continually worrying about everything is?
