We often hear slogans that tell us that we must never give up. Are they true?
Should we always never give up in many aspects of our lives? I doubt it. I think that there are many situations in people’s lives when they merely should give up. During my existence, I had many cases when I gave up. Which are those events? For example, I had been working in some employers where there were too many overtime hours. For me, it was merely impossible to handle many overtime hours. I was overworked and stressed too much. In such situations, I gave up and terminated a contract with my employers.
Nevertheless, the fact is that in all my both past and current jobs, I have met many great people whom I would like to say thank you for all the time spent together and for your support. Thank you!
Another case when I could not refer to the famous slogan “Never give up!” was when I was last time playing football (in the US: soccer), in 2011. It was a time when I weighed 99 kg (218 lbs), and after the short play, I had a severe injury. The fact is that the leading cause of the damage was the lack of warming up my muscles and my overweight. After this accident, I realized that I have to give up playing football to maintain proper health. To reduce fat, I started swimming regularly. This activity lasted seven years. Now, I stretch muscles indoors and walk a lot. While wandering, I take pictures of the mundane surroundings, mainly in Warsaw.
Nevertheless, there are still many examples when we should never give up.
One of the issues which came to my mind is my passion. Photographing, writing, and designing “Diaries” is, without a doubt, those aspects of my life that I know I will never give up.
