I was inspired to write the “Never Run Away?” text thanks to the “Never” song performed by Heart.
YouTube algorithms recommended this song to me today, on the 10th of December, 2024. The tune is very catchy, and I was wondering why I hadn’t heard about this song and band before. When I listened to the song’s words about never running away, I started to wonder if the Heart band had it right. My conclusions are pretty straightforward. Often, running away is the best solution. It’s not about cowardice, it’s about making a powerful choice. For example, if someone wants to rob you on the street, what is the best solution?
Fighting for your money?
Giving away all you got? Or, perhaps the best solution would be to run away. It’s a choice, a powerful one. I think it is evident that the best thing we can do in such a situation is to run away. I know this solution often can be impossible. Still, it is the best option. Also, suppose you are stuck, for example, in your work, and you have no other solution than to leave. In that case, I have no doubt that it is better to leave than stay in, e.g., a toxic environment. Sometimes, you just have to let it go. I believe that running away from danger, toxic relationships, or work can show one’s wisdom, not cowardice.
It’s a powerful choice, a declaration of your worth and your right to a safe and healthy environment.
That’s why if you think, my Dear Friend, that you are stuck in a strange situation seemingly without a proper solution, quit, run away, let it go, or simply give up. There is nothing wrong in all these situations. Often, there is no better solution than running away in the same way as if someone wanted to rob you. Still, I think I will listen to the “Never” song more frequently. I must admit it is a tune that caught my soul.
