In the post entitled „Neverending photo story,” I already wrote that my adventure with photography will last forever. Still, in today’s post, I want to write about another different neverending journey.
I wrote this post on the 3rd of August, 2021. It was a day when I imagined a space journey into the edge of the Universe. Is it possible to take such a journey? No, because we should travel faster than the speed of light. Why? Because Universe is still expanding in every direction. Still, there are theories that even if we could somehow achieve the impossible and travel faster than the speed of light, we would still find ourselves in an Infinite space, without any edge. Perhaps, we would find ourselves back where we started. I wonder how many years would pass on Earth after starting such a neverending journey. I love such science-fiction theories, and when I read about them, I wonder if there is more science or fiction in it.
Other theories confirm that there is no physical end of the world in space.
Even if we could get closer to the furthest edge of our observable Universe, we could spot galaxies, planets, and stars that are out of reach from Earth’s observable Universe, and, perhaps, we would come across to Infinite numbers of the so-called „Hubble volumes.” In the magnificent theory, the „Hubble volumes” are overlapping bubbles of spacetime like our own. Each of the „Hubble volumes” is made from its own primordial Big Bang and stretches away in every Infinite direction. I think that it would be easier for us to name „Hubble volumes” as another dimension. I love such abstract theories. They are so abstract that we cannot even imagine them.
We are too narrow-minded to understand processes that occur in the Infinite space. Ok, I finished writing. While doing it, I decided that I must buy and read Brian Clegg’s book, named „Introducing Infinity. A Graphic Guide.” (Icon Books Ltd.). I am too curious not to read such books.
