It seems I have an obsession with doing street photography.
I want to have as many pictures as possible. Why? Because I am obsessed with having an injury that prevents me from walking. Thus, it would stop me from taking photographs on Warsaw’s streets. The fact is that I’ve had two injuries in my life (in 2011 and 2015) when I literally couldn’t walk, so I know that at that time, I would devote a lot of my surplus free time to the blog, to writing and publishing more posts. To issue new posts, I would need photographs. My obsession is that I would want to avoid getting to the point where I would run out of photos. Am I crazy? Perhaps so. Still, that’s the way it is. I have such an obsession, and I need to speak aloud about it today (I wrote this text on the 20th of March, 2023).
What did I do while having calf injuries in the two years mentioned above?
First of all, I was working from home. Yes, you are right, my Dear Friend. I worked remotely for many years before the COVID-19 pandemic. Secondly, I remember that I was playing my favorite football game. What’s the name of the game? It’s the Football Manager. Each year, there is a new edition of this game, and I’ve been playing this game regularly between 1997 and 2015. The last year is not accidental.
It was the year I last played the Football Manager game (during the injury), and I started regularly doing street photography in October. Since then, I have not had time to play video games. Why? Because I became obsessed with street photography. This obsession lasts for seven years and five months. I do not suppose it will ever end. Why? Because the more I take photos on Warsaw’s streets, the more I desire to do it.
