Today, I will write a few words about OMAD.
I prefer to feed my mind with books than my stomach with sweets or beer. Exceptions in the form of trips (post “Unobvious experiment”) confirm the rule. I prefer to fertilize my mind with books than to clog my stomach with junk food. I have written many times. I love reading books. Undoubtedly, it is one of my favorite ways to spend my spare time. For today (I wrote this text on the 4th of July, 2024), I cannot imagine living without reading, and I hope I will be doing it until the end of my life. Contrary to food. Last time, I heard that people +50 should do OMAD (eat One Meal A Day). Indeed, sometimes I also do OMAD while intermittent fasting. I do not eat as frequently as most people living in a broadly defined Western world. I do not want it.
I feel much better when I eat rarely.
My mind works much better when I am not filled with food. It is a moment when my mind wants to read. I want to fertilize my mind and imagination with great content and fill my stomach with shitty, processed food. You will get nothing (except instant gratification), my Dear Friend, from eating processed food all day and night, with candies and soda at the forefront. Stop poisoning yourself if you still do it. It is much better to gain some knowledge from the book than eating whatever you will buy in your local shop.
I mainly eat eggs, meat, vegetables, nuts, and cheese.
I do not need beer to feel happy. Nourish your imagination with great books (I recommend reading Dostoyevsky’s novel and pieces of art made by book publishers like German Taschen, English Phaidon, Thames & Hudson, and the Polish Bosz. If you want to help yourself, start reading and stop eating. Regarding the last activity, I highly recommend OMAD – eating one meal a day.
