Today (I wrote this text on the 10th of July, 2023), I will provide my insights on creativity.
I believe one cannot be more creative just by trying harder. It simply does not work. In terms of creativity, the more you want to be innovative, the worse results you will get. That’s why I learn to let go of my mind freely when I want to, e.g., write a new text. The more I want to write something, the worse results I get. What is worse is that the more great photos I want to take, the worse the results I get.
I believe the issues I wrote about regarding not only broadly defined creation but the whole life. We try harder if we want something but cannot get it. Suddenly, we notice that the more we try, the further we are from our aim. Undoubtedly, for me, it is a moment to stop. Stop and forget what I wanted and aimed for. Drop it, let it go, and do something else instead.
Once you do it, miracles can happen suddenly, and you’ll feel a weight lifted off your shoulders.
For example, I had moments during writing when I did not know what I wanted to write. After realizing it, I started doing something else. After a while, fresh ideas came to my mind for continual writing, bringing a wave of joy and excitement. This is what I have today to write on creativity. If you have writer’s block, my Dear Friend, do not push yourself beyond your limits. Or, if you are stuck and need help figuring out what you want to write, simply write your thoughts.
That’s my other attempt at creativity. It is uneasy to become artistically prolific all the time. We all are only humans. Do not force anything regarding the creation of a broadly understood process. It is my recommendation for today. The last piece of advice is to remember that working hard is crucial, but resting after work is even more critical, and it’s during these moments of rest that the most brilliant ideas can strike.
