Sometimes, I imagine dialogues between the people I knew. This exercise, which I’ve come to call a ‘one-way window’, allows me to explore hypothetical situations and conversations that never actually occurred.
I observe and listen to people in my imaginary situations. Still, they are unaware they are being watched and listened to. I imagine situations and conversations that never took place. I’ve mentioned many times that I try not to overthink or analyze past events too much, as they are already gone (or never happened, as in the case of the title one-way window). Also, I wrote many times that I try not to worry about the future too much, as there are infinite possible scenarios and each of them, sooner or later, leads to death.
Nevertheless, sometimes a one-way window opens in my imagination by itself, and the action begins as I would watch the best film ever made.
By the way, did I mention that, for me, the best movie is my intimate movie called “The Life of Adam Mazek?” This movie takes place each time I wake up, and it is the most fascinating thing I have ever seen and experienced. I wrote this text on the 7th of September, 2025, after walking, rucking with a 37.5 kg (83 lbs) burden on my back and shoulders, and doing street photography. Tomorrow, I have a high chance of walking and doing street photography without a heavy burden, which will give my muscles a little rest.
I cannot wait for the next chapter of my movie called life to come. Also, I am convinced that many one-way window views will appear in my head. I think it will happen until the end of my life. The truth is that I wonder if other people possess similar reminiscences or quasi-imagined reminiscences. I believe they do. Also, I believe it is some kind of mental exercise that our psyche gives us.
