Undoubtedly, taking orders is not for me.
I am glad that I live in modern times, in the third decade of the XXI century in Poland, when I can photograph whatever I want, wherever I want. I can write texts and publish a mix of notes and photographs on my website that I manage by myself. The truth is that I work as an accountant. Thus, I do not have to rely on orders from others. Artistic independence stuck to my mind. I do not want to work with the client and try to commit anything “on order.” What I value the most is freedom and creative freedom. I do not aim to fulfill client’s wishes and demands. Moreover, I do not care about others’ opinions. If someone does not like my artistic activity, one does not have to watch it. Luckily, I know that many people like my creative activities.
Walking around Warsaw’s streets with a camera in my hand, taking photos of mundane reality, writing texts on many topics, managing the www.adammazek.com website, preparing subsequent editions of “Diaries,” and, last but not least, preparing new collections of pictures (like “Negation of the End,” or “Death”): all these things have one thing common thing.
Which one, undoubtedly, you could ask my Dear Friend. I do not do it for money. Why do I do all these things? Perhaps because I want to live forever, in the memory of future generations. That’s why I do not care that much how many works I will sell via the ArtFinder website. I do not analyze how much money I can take from my passion. I do all these things to endure in the memory of posterity. It is the time that I will strictly evaluate my creative doings. That’s why I do not care how much money I will earn. Moreover, I do not care whether I will receive an order for photographs or not.
