Today (I wrote this text on the 3rd of September, 2025), I realized I have been blogging for over seven years. To be more precise, I started doing it on the 1st of September, 2025.
How do I feel about it? Great. I hope I will be blogging not for the next seven years, but seventy (I wrote this text while being forty years old). I wrote many times in relation to doing street photography and writing, but I must also repeat one thing in relation to blogging. I love doing it, and I cannot imagine my life without publishing subsequent posts. On the www.adammazek.com website, I am mixing my photos taken mainly on Warsaw’s streets and my texts. All these works of art I created and prepared earlier, so practically everything you read and see on my blog, my Dear Friend, are thoughts and visuals from the past.
I do not want my blog to be like an Instagram platform.
I reject instant publishing and receiving instant gratification, similar to likes. I do not care how many people read my blog, and how many of them will be reading it for decades to come. I hope to keep my childish joy while working on my blog. I want my blog to become some kind of diary. I want to keep and save my thoughts here. I hope that by doing it, they will survive not only the following centuries but also the next millennium. Still, I am really curious how durable the website will be within the next couple of decades.
Will some kind of cyber-archaeologists appear in the future, to dive into the cyber world from the past? I cannot wait to see what the future holds. Still, for today, I am simply focusing on the pure childish joy that blogging provides me. Undoubtedly, blogging is also like a game for me, a game of self-expression and connection.
