Today I will write about people. I want to stress the fact that once, in general, I did not like much people at all.
What do I want to say precisely? Other people, strangers did not interest me. This situation lasted until the end of 2013. It was the year when I read almost all Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s books, translated into the Polish language.
After reading Dostoyevsky, I changed my attitude towards strangers. Often, while taking pictures on the streets of Warsaw, I walk past many blocks of flats. As we know, in these specific buildings, there are windows. I often hear (thanks to the opened windows) like inhabitants of these blocks are having fun, they are shouting, bawling, playing, or just watching TV. It is the moment when I start to think about humans living there, about those strangers. Also, when I see other people on the streets, I again begin to wonder what kind of problems possess all these people. I start to imagine what are their worries, what are their concerns, what do they afraid of or about what do they dream.
I want to stress that Fyodor Dostoyevski taught me one thing. He made me aware of the fact that all the people are relevant.
Famous Russian writer opened my eyes to strangers. Thanks to him I know that every one of us possesses it’s unique, intimate history and thoughts. What’s more interesting, all these personal stories are continually being written during our daily routine.
Nevertheless, the fact is that it’s impossible to know all the personal stories of other humans. Thus, it is much better to focus on all the people we love.
In conclusion, I want to say that every one of us is an eternal and divine mystery. We cannot fully understand the processes which are happening in our lives. Nevertheless, we can try to solve this riddle. Even if we are not able to accomplish it in 100%, we can try to do this regularly. The same as Fyodor Dostoyevski did throughout all his existence. Russian writer’s aim of writing was to understand humans. Thank God he had a perfect talent so he could masterly describe it. And what about people? Let’s give each other understanding and respect. Thanks to this, we will avoid many unnecessary problems.
