Pessimism is the state of mind that I try to omit during my everyday life.Â
I wrote this post on the 22nd of April 2020. The coronavirus was still spreading all over the world. Together with him, pessimism was standing nearby, lurking, and it was ready to poison people’s minds. Yesterday I read some news on the internet:
- coronavirus epidemic will probably last about the next one and a half year;
- the number of unemployed people in Poland will raise about one million and two hundred thousand. The reason for that is a coronavirus, of course, and the economic crisis it will cause;
- Poland is in drought. It will probably be the driest year since for more than one hundred years. Thus, the price of food will go up, and in general, there will be problems with water all over my country.
- The United Nations announced that due to coronavirus, the enormous famine would hit the world. It is supposed to attack countries in which the war is happening (e.g., Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan, Venezuela, Haiti, or Nigeria).
Like you see, my Dear Friend, humanity possesses its reasons to become pessimistic. I believe that it is hard to stay away from the news during the epidemic of coronavirus.
Nevertheless, I try to stand still, love my beloved Kamilka, my parents, and the rest of my family.
Moreover, I try to do my job (as for today, I have a lot of work in my office) and create. My willingness to survive is on the same, peak level as the struggle to not give up and to create art (despite all the news that I mentioned above). I do all my best not to let the pessimism destroy my healthy habits regarding the producing works of art. After all, we are all stardust, and we will all die sooner or later. Thus, is it necessary to worry about all the unhappiness, give up, fall into pessimism, and cry? No. I believe that it is worth focusing on beloved people and the creation of new things.
