Pet Shop Boys

January 11, 2020 by Adam Mazek

Once again in my life, YouTube rediscovered for me a subsequent band named Pet Shop Boys.

To be more precise, YouTube suggested three forgotten (for me) songs made by Pet Shop Boys. What are the names of the songs? These are “West End Girls,” “What Have I Done to Deserve This?” and “Domino Dancing.” All these three songs impressed me once again in my life. I heard these tunes before, e.g., on radio stations, but I forgot that such good melodies exist. All three songs possess their unique, specific Pet Shop Boys video clips. Also, I found that all these three songs, the same as Depeche Mode’s “People are people” song, are brilliant regarding my photo walks.

I love to walk through the streets of Warsaw and hum the tunes of all the songs mentioned above.

Regarding “West End Girls,” for me, one of the most exciting facts is the fact that the American Grandmaster Flash song, “The Message,” was the one that inspired Pet Shop Boys. Indeed, this song possesses much rap in it. The sad undertone of the music often reminds my photographs. Despite being quite a nostalgic song, the melody often brings an unimaginable amount of hope to my mind and soul. The same could say about my pictures. Even if they can be found as “sad” often, for me, they symbolize a pure joy of passion.

“What Have I Done to Deserve This?” song was performed with Dusty Springfield, the vocalist.

Her voice is the perfect supplement for the titled British synth-pop duo. An energetic song about love motivates me to keep my feet going and going without a break.
“Domino Dancing,” on the other hand, is a song about frivolous, early teenage love. The melody truly catches one’s ear.

To summarize, I want to stress that if you look for melodies, thanks to which you will gain a lot of energy, Pet Shop Boys’ songs can be an excellent solution for you, my Dear Friend.
